WHY?

We have a penchant for digging our unwanted noses into a bit of everything - from Andean shamanism to American politics, critical theory to chicken curry. In summary we hope for this newsletter to be an archive of stories about the world, an experiment in trying to mediate our relationship with the totality of being, and a reflection on the narratives and systems that shape our societies but can’t easily be encapsulated into nifty little categories.

It is usually in the interstitial spaces between objects of inquiry, amidst the odds and ends and ephemera of the world, that we find clues to understanding the big picture. So basically, it’s going to be whatever floats our boat. We might discuss insurrectionary ecology one week, and winemaking in the Loire Valley the next etc. and uncover the hidden entanglements of history, geography, ecology and politics that tie all these stories together.
